NHPC Council Members
The governing Council members of the NHPC consists of 15 members of whom 30% are female. Members are appointed by the Ministry of Health following nominations from Health Professional Associations, Line Ministries & civil society.
Council members are appointed for a term of three [3] years and may be reappointed for one additional more term.
Council Members functions
- Oversight policies and plans of the Council
- Take a disciplinary action against any member of the Council if that member commits an offense, or harms the integrity, name, honor, or existence of the Council. The concerned Council member can be dismissed and replaced by the Council.
- Propose resolutions based on regulations set out in the bylaws.
- Decides general budget, incentives of Council members and technical committees of National Health Professionals.
